‘Awanutorwo’ of Mafi State visits DCE – Introduces new chief of Mafi-Adidome

Chiefs from the three War Heads also known as ‘Awanutorwo’ of Mafi Sate, have paid a working visit to Mr Thomas Moore Zonyrah, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Central Tongu in the Volta Region.

The visit was to formally introduce Togbe Kwasinyi Kakaklolo Agyeman V, the new Chief of Mafi- Adidome to the DCE.

The visit also saw the signing of a Joint Communique between the DCE and the new Chief who was accompanied by Chiefs from the ‘Awanutorwo’ of the Mafi State in commemoration of the visit.

Togbe Asafo Buatri IV, acting President of Mafi Traditional Area, who led the delegation, further said: “that we shall continue this collaboration along with all of the people of Central Tongu, in the best spirit of cherished brotherhood and enlightenment partnership.”

He said, “We call for infrastructural development and economic transformation of the District.”

“We are joining our efforts and energies in working in collaboration to harness the human and other assets of Central Tongu and Ghana in pursuit and sustenance of the infrastructural development and economic transformation of Central Tongu District.”

Togbe Kwasinyi Agyeman V reaffirmed his visions and focus on youth empowerment, development, and others to the people of Mafi- Adidome and the entire Mafi State.

Mr Moore Zonyra on his part, commended the team for their visit.

He indicated his doors were always open to the new chief and others to ensure good working relationships in bringing development to the area.

He also appealed to the Traditional Authorities in the area to ensure unity and peace prevailed among members of the area.

Mr Zonyra disclosed that his outfit was working hard in assisting the Traditional Area to get elevated to a Traditional Council status.

He, however, enumerated some few challenges that the Chiefs must address for the realisation of their dream.

He also charged the Chiefs to raise the war against land litigation in the area with respect to efforts in protecting their lands.

Mr Zonyra also disclosed he was working hand in hand with the Member of Parliament for the area to champion rapid development growth.
