This year’s Women’s FA Cup Competition will be exciting and full of fun to watch as former champion Police Ladies and defending champions Prison Ladies are all part of the 32 teams battling for the MTN FA trophy.

The draw for the round of the MTN FA cup was held at the GFA headquarters with Alhaji Adams Mukaila, the vice president of the FA cup chairing.

Other personalities present were Mr Prosper Harrison Addo, the secretary general of the GFA, Henry Asante, the PRO and Women’s League chairperson Madam Hillary Boateng.

According to Prosper Harrison Addo, the Women’s FA cup does not have sponsors for now but the GFA will support all the 32 clubs financially.

He said the 16 clubs traveling for the matches in the round will get GHC 1,200.00, whilst the home teams get GHC 1,000.00 then for the round of 16, away teams will get GHC l,800.00 and home teams will get GHC 1,600.00.

The vice president, Adam Mukaila revealed that the winner of the Women’s FA cup will take home GHC 30,000 and the runner up will take GHC 10,000 and promised to add MTN credit.

The Women’s FA cup matches will start on March 20th to 23rd, and played in zones -northern and southern zones respectively.
