The Management of Baker Hughes, an International Oil Services Company has donated hygiene deliverables to some health institutions and police stations across the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.

The items donated to the over 12 institutions included 50 big size Veronica buckets, dispenser bottles, gallons of Sanitizers, tissue papers, boxes of surgical gloves, packets of examination gloves, surgical masks, and disposable shoe covers.

The rest were methylated spirits, toilet rolls, cotton wool, soaps and disposable head cap to institutions such as the Effia Nkwanta Regional hospital, Takoradi hospital, Kwesimintsin hospital, Inchaban, Essikado, Kojokrom and Shama CHIPs compounds.

The Police stations that benefitted were Kwesimintsin police, Anaji, Effiakum, Shama, Essikado, Airforce, Sekondi Central Prison and 2BN.

Ms. Salamatu Mahamudu, Regional Category Leader of Baker Hughes said the donation worth GH¢ 15,000 formed part of the company’s planned response programme to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Reverend Nicolas Osei-Boateng, the Administrator of the Takoradi Hospital expressed gratitude to the company for the kind gesture and called for more corporate support as the region prepares to handle the COVID-19 cases.
