Bank of Africa (BoA) has launched five innovative banking products targetted at employees in the public and private sectors as well as small-scale business owners.

The products are the Public Service Pack, Employee Pack, Ambitious Savings Plan, Educational Loan and My Business Pack.

Mr. Allen Quaye, Head of Sales Coordination, said the products are designed to support lifestyle, meet emergencies, provide convenience and make banking affordable. He said the ?packs?, which are the first of their kind in the country, afford the holder a range of products and services for a flat monthly fee.

He said employees working in the public and civil service can sign onto the Public Service Pack, a package dedicated to their specific needs.

?The benefits of this pack include a current account, savings account, free cheque books, free ATM card, free ATM withdrawals, free Internet banking and free SMS alerts, all for one flat monthly fee. Account holders also enjoy fantastic discounts on loan and overdraft fees.?

The Employee Pack is also a bundled product for private employees, and the Ambitious Savings Plan is a traditional savings account backed by a current account that allows customers to save toward the acquisition of a particular dream item, he said.

According to Mr. Quaye, the account holder can borrow up to twice the amount saved after just 12 regular monthly deposits to finance an ambition.

He said the Educational Loan also offers salaried employees the opportunity to upgrade one?s education, while My Business Pack is to address the needs of small shop-owners working in the informal sector by bringing them into mainstream banking.

Managing Director of BoA Mr. Kobby Andah said the bank?s products have performed creditably throughout the years, and its growth across geographies is testimony to the fact that its products continue to deliver solutions to customers. He said the products they are introducing have been successful in several countries on the continent.
