Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has pledged to implement the policy proposals outlined in the party’s manifesto to revitalize Ghana’s economy.
Addressing a press conference in Accra on Sunday, August 25, Bawumia emphasized the need for an “upgrade” rather than a “reset” of the country’s economic policies.
He assured that he would execute the measures detailed in the recently launched NPP manifesto if elected.
In his remarks, Dr. Bawumia also responded to criticisms from former President John Dramani Mahama regarding economic mismanagement under the current administration.
“Sometimes I get amazed when former President Mahama talks about economic mismanagement.
He should know his record,” Bawumia said, suggesting that Mahama review his past performance in office before commenting on the current administration’s economic policies.
