Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a solemn promise to urgently address the pressing financial difficulties that traders and small businesses are grappling with in Ghana.
During a recent visit to the Ablekuma North and Ablekuma West constituencies, Dr Bawumia, with a deep personal commitment, underscored his dedication to improving access to capital for traders and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
He outlined two critical initiatives to support these groups: establishing a Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund and creating an SME bank.
Bawumia stressed that securing adequate funding remains a major obstacle for many traders and SMEs and vowed that his administration would address this issue head-on.
His tour included engagements with local traders, stakeholders, and community members, where he reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to enhancing financial support and economic opportunities for Ghanaians.
“The NPP is committed to proposing new initiatives to support business owners,” Bawumia stated.
“We understand that funding is a critical challenge for you.
To address this, we are introducing the Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund, which will assist women in expanding their businesses.
Promoting and growing your trade becomes difficult without adequate funding, and we are here to provide the necessary solutions.”
