Bayelsa Council Chairman Who Was Abducted Released

The Bayelsa State Police Command Spokesman, Butswat Asinim has confirmed the release of the abducted council chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area, Mr Enaye Abah.

Abah was abducted on Wednesday last week along the Otuasega-Okarki express road by unknown gunmen while on his way to attend a political meeting at the council headquarters in Ogbia town.

He was said to have been released on Sunday evening.

According to the Police spokesman, Asinim, the abducted local government boss was abandoned by his kidnappers following attempts by the special task force of the State Anti-Kidnapping squad to invade their hide out in the area.
