President John Dramani Mahama and the ?Asantehene? Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Friday commissioned a recreational facility in Nhyiaeso, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The facility known as ?Rattray Park, Kumasi City? forms part of efforts to green Kumasi and restore it to its past glory as the Garden City of West Africa.
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly(KMA) controlled 42,000 square-meter park, is a ?Crime Free Zone? for the ?use and enjoyment? for the people of Kumasi and visitors to promote a healthy lifestyle.
It can boast of a wi-fi internet connectivity, golf cart, an open robust gym, children?s playground, six square-meter multimedia fountain, and a cafeteria.
Rattray Park, Kumasi City is opened daily from 8:30am to 11:00pm daily including national holidays.
