One of the candidates sitting for the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Ahanta West Municipality died on Thursday after a short illness.

The deceased whose name was given as Richard Mensah was a final year student of the Apowa Methodist Junior High School (JHS) in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region.

According to the school Authorities, Mensah fell unconscious a few minutes before the second paper, Basic Design Technology (BDT).
