Beninese gov’t urges hotels to use scanners to enhance security

Benin's government has asked hotel owners to acquire scanners within the next one month to prevent terrorist attacks, an official source said Monday.


Besides this measure, the government further asked hotel owners across the country to systematically register their customers.

In neighboring Burkina Faso, terrorists attacked a hotel and cafe in Ouagadouou on Jan. 15, killing 32 people from 11 nationalities and injuring 71 others. Enditem
