Berekum Cheslea striker Emmanuel Clottey scored a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Raja Casablanca
Berekum Chelsea hat-trick hero Emmanuel Clottey says it will be impossible for Raja Casablanca to overturn a 5-0 deficit in the return leg of their CAF Champions League clash.
The former Odense BK attacker grabbed the headlines with the superb goals in the second half to help the Ghanaian champions to the resounding penultimate round victory at the Golden City Park.
The Blues will travel to the North African country in a fortnight.
The 26-year-old says the club have done what is needed to progress.
“I cannot see them score six goals without a reply from us and so I believe we have almost qualified already,” Clottey said
“Of course I agree that in football anything can happen, but will be the ninth wonder of the world if we sit down for them to qualify at our expense especially with this scoreline.
“We’ll remain focus and get the job done in Casablanca. This is our time and we cannot let Ghanaians down at this stage of the competition.
“It’s been a while since a local club got into the money zone of the Champions League and so we have to keep our cool and make it happen.”
If Chelsea advance, they will play either the winner of the Dolphin/Coton Sport encounter in the final round qualifier.
