Mr. Kingsford Boafo, Bibiani GoldStars Football Club (FC) winger, has said that the team has come to stay in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Speaking in an interview with GNA Sports, Boafo said “Bibiani GoldStars FC should be classified as a contender in the ongoing league but not just a passenger, because we have the quality as a team, I don’t think we would go back to Division One, but rather be in a position were critics don’t expect us to be”.
He said other clubs have struggled after promotion but Bibiani Gold Stars FC was capable of surviving, adding that they have a good coach in Micheal Osei and effective management hence they are confident of remaining in the GPL.
Mr. Boafo said, “after six games in the league, there is no favourite because every team is prepared and is doing everything possible to win games, the league is still open for every team including Bibiani GoldStars”.
Bibiani GoldStars FC which was founded in 1998 are sitting currently in the 7th position in the Ghana premier league lost their last game against Dreams FC and hoping to bounce back with a win at home.
