BILIE receive your position paper with joy and utter enthusiasm. The words ALADINMA and BILIE instill hope and confidence to our people.

Your preamble ref: BILIE has gone through your preamble and concluded that your ideas are clear and achievable and therefore subscribe to the idea. Good work!!

Bases of intervention ref: In this aspect of your write-up, permit us to inform you and the Igbo public that BILIE was founded in 2008 after we contacted and got the opinions of well meaning NdiIgbo in Diaspora. BILIE therefore became a response to myriad loopholes in our fight to have Biafra actualize. Like in your Aladinma, many people of BILIE are of the combatant generation sharing opinions with the generations who did not participate in the shooting war but are with strong conviction that Biafra is the only answer. BILIE studied and analyzed the Nigerian present Constitution and came up with the idea that acting within this Constitution of Nigeria is counterproductive. We have adopted the Non-Violence and the use of legal means as recourse to actualizing Biafra. We have worked assiduously in this concept and are marching on.

BILIE was registered at the United Nations to represent the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra acting within the concept of Self-determination in accordance with the UN Resolution A/RES /61/295, adopted in September 2007; and also in accordance with Article 20.1 of the African (Banjul) Charter on Human and Peoples? Rights adopted June 1981 (which ?entered into force 21 October 1986?). BILIE has taken the Nigerian State and its Government to the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague for the genocide committed against the People of Biafra. As all legal litigations are slow, we are waiting for the Court to start acting. In mid July, 2012, BILIE will file another case against Nigerian State and its Government to the United Nations Court of Human Right (UNCHR). This will be followed immediately with another filling at the African Court of Human and Peoples Right in Arusha, Tanzania. Our International Lawyers are working hard on these.

BILIE was invited to the current Rio+20 United Nations Special Conference holding in Brazil that began on 19th. June, 2012. BILIE has contacted all the Chanceries of the Countries that attended the burial ceremony of our former Head of State ? Dim Odimegwu Ojukwu, the peoples General. BILIE has active Foreign Affairs Commission as well as Biafra Genocide Commission composed of concerned Biafrans. BILIE knowing the importance of the grassroots, has established BILIE Homeland and its Human Right wing known as BILIE HUMAN RIGHT INITIATIVE on the 29th October, 2011. The aim was to help our people to understand their Human Right obligations and necessities. Their functions include also day to day activism. Since the inception of BILIE, Seven International Conferences have been organized successfully and the 8th. one is coming up in October 2012 in Rome, Italy.

Whereas we have described the most salient features of BILIE and whereas we have not realize all we wanted and whereas no one single Biafran group will achieve the actualization of Biafra and whereas we know that various Biafran groups are out there fighting the same fight, we therefore declared as follows:

  • BILIE is completely in agreement with Aladinma?s ideas.
  • BILIE wants to actualize Biafra without recurrence to Nigerian present Constitutional set-up.
  • BILIE states that 1914 amalgamation is the problem and understanding its effect will hasten the actualization process.
  • BILIE wants to partner with Aladinma in this noble fight for Self-determination.
  • BILIE accepts the recommendation that Biafrans should decline any further participation in Nigerian elections and therefore remind our people that 2015 Presidential election is a fraud.
  • BILIE agrees that any son or daughter of Biafra who present himself or herself for any election under the Nigerian Constitution should be treated as a saboteur.
  • BILIE calls on all Biafran groups to come together to map out a way forward since BILIE believes that no one group will be able to achieve the desired actualization alone.
  • We hope to hearing from you.
