Black Stars players are heading back to their respective clubs after Wednesday?s international friendly reverse to Montenegro in Podgorica, GHANasoccernet.com can confirm.

The Black Stars succumbed to a narrow loss against a lowly-rated European side after Dejan Damjanovi? scored a 1st minute penalty after Portugal-based defender David Addy committed a foul inside the box.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah used the game (one of three friendly installments before June) to assess the progress of his team ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

Home-based goalkeeper Stephen Adams was the only new invitee to the squad and as the weekend bring club duty, all twenty players are rushing back to their clubs to ensure they maintain their first team places.

Defender Jonathan Mensah tweeted a picture of himself, Christian Atsu, Abdul Majeed Waris, John Boye and Daniel Opare waiting at the Podgorica Airport to board their respective flights back to their various destinations.

Italy-based quartet of Michael Essien, Kwadwo Asamoah, Sulley Muntari and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu are likely to be joined by Schalke star Kevin-Prince Boateng as they head back to the Milan International Airport.

The five players arrived at Podgorica in a flight chartered by AC Milan star Sulley Muntari.

Kwesi Appiah and some officials of the Ghana Football Association who travelled for the game are expected back in Accra with Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams.
