In a surprising turn of events, Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has been released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre following a six-month prison term for abusing naira currency.

 

Bobrisky, who was sentenced on April 12, 2024, by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, had been convicted of mutilating naira notes by spraying them at social events.

 

The sentence was handed down without the option of a fine.

 

On Monday, Bobrisky took to X to share his release, appearing in a video with actress Eniola Ajao.

 

In the video, he expressed his joy and his eagerness to reunite with his supporters, emphasizing their importance in his life.

 

“I’ve missed you guys so much. I can’t wait to have you guys and give you what you have missed,” Bobrisky said, his voice filled with joy and relief.
