Boko Haram, a terrorist group, has recently killed at least four Nigerian fishermen and kidnapped eight people in Cameroon’s Far North Region, local and security sources said Thursday.
The militants killed the fishermen who were fishing in Bargaram locality in the region, and the victims were found by villagers on Wednesday, said a local resident who asked not to be named.
Furthermore, the militants abducted eight people who were crossing Lake Chad late Wednesday, said a military official on condition of anonymity.
The terrorist group has killed more than 3,000 people since it launched attacks in Far North Region in 2014, according to security reports.
