The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Owusu Banahene, recently embarked on a reconciliation visit to the NPP polling station executives at Atuahenekrom within the Sunyani East Constituency of Bono Region.
During her visit, she made a passionate plea for unity among party members as the December general elections approach.
In a dramatic moment, the Minister knelt down before the executives, urging them to set aside their grievances and support the party’s candidates, particularly the parliamentary candidate for Sunyani East, Hon. Akwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh.
Her heartfelt appeal came in response to reports that some members were reluctant to campaign for Cheremeh, with some even threatening to vote against him.
Madam Owusu Banahene emphasized the importance of prioritizing the party’s collective goals over individual disputes.
“Let’s not let the actions of one person jeopardize the future of the party,” she implored, seeking to rally the executives around the NPP’s vision.
In a positive turn, the executives responded by encouraging the Minister to rise, indicating their willingness to reconcile and commit to the party’s success.
They assured her that they would move past their differences and unite for the upcoming elections.
Following the reconciliation, the Minister motivated the executives to engage in a door-to-door campaign, sharing the NPP’s achievements and messages with the community.
She highlighted the importance of effectively communicating the party’s successes to resonate with voters, providing resources to support this outreach effort.
