The Bortianor and Kokrobite District of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), has undertaken a clean-up exercise at some Community Clinics in the District.
The members of the Church helped to weed the compounds and swept both the Bortianor and Kokrobite Community Clinics.
The Exercise, led by Rev. Mrs Emenyo Vivian Doh, the District Pastor, was organised by the Women’s Ministry of the Church as part of this year’s Mother’s Day celebration.
Rev. Mrs Doh said it was part of the Church’s contribution towards ensuring a clean environment to eradicate diseases in the communities, adding that service to humanity was service to God.
She, therefore, urged members to always keep their environment clean and train their children to be sanitation conscious in society.
Rev. Mrs Doh, who is also the National Women’s Ministry Coordinator of the GEC, as part of the celebrations, took the women through some Bible and other intense teachings.
An aerobic exercise was held for the women as part of the long-week celebrations to enable them keep fit.
The National Women’s Coordinator acknowledged all women and also prayed for God to keep strengthening them for the huge tasks ahead.
The activities were crowned on Sunday with a special Mother’s Day package at the GEC Bortianor.
