Tensions have erupted within the Bosome Freho Constituency of the Ashanti Region as delegates accuse specific individuals of attempting to undermine the recently elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate, Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayerh.

Despite these challenges, the NPP delegates have remained united, issuing a stern warning to those they allege are conspiring to damage the reputation of their newly elected candidate.

They have identified Yaw Amoah Gyami and other unnamed party members as the primary culprits behind these disruptive efforts.

The delegates claim that Amoah Gyami previously challenged Ayerh’s candidacy in court, which he ultimately lost.

The court ruled against Gyami and ordered him to pay GH₵15,000 in damages to the delegates, a significant amount in this context, as it was seen as a validation of Ayerh’s candidacy and a deterrent against further disruptive actions.

Despite this, they allege that Gyami falsely asserts that Ayerh has been subject to a court injunction.

“The court dismissed Mr Gyami’s claims as baseless and instructed him to compensate the delegates,” said a group representative.

“It is troubling that he continues to spread false information that the high court has injuncted our candidate.

We challenge him to produce any such injunction letter if it exists.”

The delegates, fueled by their determination, have called for an end to what they describe as sabotage and warned that any further attempts to tarnish Ayerh’s reputation will be met with strong resistance.

They asserted, “We firmly stand by our candidate’s credibility and will not tolerate any attempts to undermine his position.”

“We urge Mr Gyami to prove his claims or cease his misleading actions immediately.”
