Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority (BERA) has announced a fuel price drop, following another adjustment in the first quarter of the year.
Rose Seretse, BERA Chief Executive Officer, on Friday announced that adjustments is directed at fuel pump prices for petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin.
She said the fuel prices drop will be effected on Saturday, as approved by the minister.
“There is need to manage the units rates and align retail pump prices to the region,” Seretse said.
BERA has adjusted the fuel prices of unleaded petrol 93 by 159 thebe per litre (approximately 0.14 U.S. dollars), unleaded petrol 95 will decrease by 163 thebe per litre.
Sereste said the regulator will continue to closely monitor the prices of petroleum products in both regional and international markets and make price adjustments as necessary. Enditem
