Breast Love 2019 Launched At Beautiful Beneath

An awareness programme to educate women on breast cancer has been launched on Tuesday at the premises of Beautiful Beneath at East Legon in Accra.

Madam Juliet A. Gyanfi, CEO of Beautiful Beneath and founder of Breast Love in her address said another October has come, and it is the month dedicated to breast cancer awareness globally.

She expressed that it is part of their social responsibility activities to fight against the monstrous breast cancer.

She revealed the programme line up for this year, and informed the press about how Breast Love originated from Corinthians 13:2-8, which talks about love.

According to Madam Gyamfi, her entry to the arena to fight breast cancer is not cosmetic, but a fight she has prepared to fight until it is finally kicked out.

For this year’s execution plan, there would be Breast Care Tours at the Sunyani Coronation Park on October 5, Bantama in Kumasi on October 12 and at Tema International Maritime Hospital on October 19, as well as a ‘Men for Breast’ Seminar at Tema and a Pink Gals Concert in Accra on October 25 to climax the activities.

She urged more women to come out to check their breasts freely at the tours.

Some personalities who grace the event and spoke were Dr. Afua Addo – Atuah of the International Maritime Hospital, Dr. Emilia Kwartarpaa Ababio of Lekma Hospital and Bernice Boakye Yiadom, vice president of Cancer Support Network of Ghana.

Some stakeholders in the Breast Love 2019 project are the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gender & Social Protection, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Medical School, Cancer Support Network Ghana, Primeval Media, NGOs, MUSIGA and others media partners and corporate sponsor.

Beautiful Beneath is a shop that supports the Breast Love initiative, and they deal in ladies lingerie and sports appareal.

They have a stock of mastectomy bras and breast foams. They also offer professional advice for under wears, especially right braziers for beautiful breast.
