Nana Aboranoma Nyarko, a 52-year old Detective Inspector of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service, has been installed Sanahene of Breman Traditional Area, under the stool name Nana Okofo Nyarko Abaim III.
Nana Abaim III succeeded his late uncle, Nana Abaim II, who died some years ago.
He was earlier in the day carried in a palanquin through the principal streets of Breman Asikuma amidst drumming and dancing to the Shrine; “Pusuban,” where he took the Oath of Allegiance before the Adonti, Kronti and Kyidom Divisional chiefs.
He later swore to Odeefo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, Paramount Chief of Breman Asikuma Traditional Area, who gave him a drink to symbolise his installation as Sanahene, as per the tradition and custom of the area.
Later in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Nana Abaim said his topmost priority was to support the Paramount Chief, elders and the Traditional Council in general to execute policies and other programmes to better the lot of the people.
He said he would ensure the youth were gainfully employed and the Traditional Area was resourced to enhance development.
