British Ambassador to Lebanon Chris Rampling announced that the United Kingdom donated 340,000 British pounds (400,000 U.S. dollars) in equipment for Lebanon to enable the country to fight against COVID-19.

“The UK is supporting Lebanon in its response to COVID-19 and I’m particularly pleased to have announced 340,000 British pounds in kit and equipment through the World Health Organization,” Rampling tweeted on Wednesday.

Lebanon has been suffering from a shortage in equipment necessary for the fight against the virus.

The number of COVID-19 infections reached 333 so far while the virus so far claimed the lives of six people. Enditem
