Britain’s Prince George’s birth will be marked with a jewellery collection which takes its inspiration from his mother Duchess Catherine’s family crest.
Jewellery designer Claudia Bradby told People.com: “Mighty oaks from little acorns grow – that’s the saying and the sentiment behind it. Plus, it has some relevance to them as a couple because the inspiration for the design was drawn from her own family crest.”
Claudia – who worked with Catherine in 2007 when she was the accessories buyer for fashion label Junior Jigsaw created the collection, which will include a silver necklace with a pearl acorn charm, as well as a silver bracelet with royal-themed charms.
Recalling their time working together, the designer says the 31-year-old royal has “everything going for her” and thinks she will be good mother to little George.
She said: “I think she will be a fantastic mother. She has a really fantastic mother herself and she comes from a very stable family.”
