The British High Commission (BHC) football team beat the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) side 4-2 to lift the cup in their four-match football tournament played at the Asamoah Gyan Park in Accra.

Abraham Boakye and Simon Westlake scored three goals for BHC, while Robert Quartey pulled one back to end the first half 3-1.

On resumption of the second session, Salim Baroudi of BHC made it four for his side and Robert Quartey again scored the second goal for AMA bringing the final scores to 4-2 for the BHC to lift the cup.

In their previous encounters the AMA beat the BHC in their first game while the BHC won the second. The third match ended in a draw.

Mr Alfred Adjei, the Chairman of the AMA Select Committee on Youth and Sports in an interview with GNA Sports, said organization of such competitions provide the platform to encourage the youth to pursue their talents.

He commended the Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive, Mr Mohammed Adjei Sowah for taking part in the game and the BHC for their sponsorship.

Mr Adjei also applauded Daniel Blaber, Ishmael Danso and Richard Adjei for their excellent officiating of the game.
