Brussels Airlines Begins to Operate Accra Service

Brussels Airlines, the leading Belgian airline and member of the Lufthansa Group, has inaugurated its new Brussels-Accra service with attractive packages to its clients.

The airline, will directly connect Accra with Brussels Airport in the heart of Europe, four times a week.

After an absence of several years, Ghana and Belgium are again connected by air, thanks to the new service that Brussels Airlines has inaugurated.

The airline will connect the capital cities of both countries four times a week with flights scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The passengers of the inaugural flight were prior to their departure welcomed by Brussels Airlines CEO Bernard Gustin, H.E Morgan A. Brown, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Brussels Airport management.

“Ghana is one of the fastest growing countries, both economically as in terms of tourism. The launch of this new route today is good news for both the growing number of passengers that travel to or from Ghana, and for cargo clients”, he said.

He stated that, the connection will also contribute to the growing trade relations between Belgium and Ghana by offering comfortable travel options between Accra, Brussels Airport and Europe.

The flight schedule will allow smooth connections to many Brussels Airlines’ European destinations and United States, including the UK, Denmark, Germany, France and New York, via Brussels Airport.

Brussels Airlines’ direct flights are operated with Airbus A330 aircraft with onboard passengers having the choice between Business Class with full flat beds; and Economy Class demand in flight with ergonomic seats and on demand in-flight entertainment.
