Burundian President Picks A New Minister of Finance

Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza has appointed Domitien Ndihokubwayo as the new finance, budget and development planning minister, a senior adviser at the Burundian president's office said Thursday.


“Domitien Ndihokubwayo has been appointed as the finance, budget and development planning minister as it is stipulated in the presidential decree number 100/107 signed on May 18, 2016,” said Willy Nyamitwe, senior adviser in charge of communication at the office of Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza.

Ndihokubwayo replaces Tabu Abdallah Manirakiza who has been appointed as the deputy-secretary general of the Economic Community of Central African States in the Gabonese capital Libreville.

Prior to the appointment as finance minister, Ndihokubwayo was the Commissioner General of the Burundi Revenue Authority. Enditem
