The Christ Apostolic Church International has donated assorted items to the Children’s Ward of the Tumu Government Hospital in the Sissala East Municipality.

The items, which included baby dresses, soap, washing powder, bed sheets, toiletries, baby diapers, Kalypo drinks and biscuits among others, were estimated at GH₵5,500.

The presentation was done at Tumu at the weekend during the inauguration of a branch of the church at Tumu, which was preceded by a crusade on the Theme: “Jesus the Light of the World.”

During the presentation, Mr Eric Owusu, the Regional Coordinator of the Christ Apostolic Students Associates (CASA), in charge of the Upper West and Northern Regions said: “The church has a responsibility to impact society both spiritually and physically hence the gesture.”

He said the event was also to announce the church’s presence in the town and the Sissala area.

Receiving the items, Mr Brian Charles Siaka, the District Director of Nursing Service (DDNS), on behalf of the Medical
Superintendent for Tumu Hospital, said: “The items came at the right time for the hospital.”

He also thanked the church for the gesture and prayed for continuous support for the facility.
