Cameroonian president, French FM discuss bilateral ties

Cameroonian President Paul Biya on Saturday met visiting French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna on bilateral ties, the presidency said in a statement.’

The meeting focused on “the progress made in the fields of agriculture, youth development, and civil protection,” the statement said.

Colonna said that the development of cooperation and partnership between the two countries and the strengthening of consultation on bilateral, regional and international issues are “on the right path.”

“In this troubled world, the spirit of cooperation and rationality which is essential in a world of too much conflict and too much tension is prevailing in the relation between Cameroon and France,” Colonna told reporters after the meeting.
