What caused Ethiopian Airline crash?


Plane crashThe Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, GCAA says, the Ethiopian Airline Boeing 737 cargo aircraft operated by ASKY Airlines from Lome to Accra which skidded off the run wayon Saturday has been moved off the run way. In a statement signed by its Acting Director-General, Abudulai Alhassan, three persons were on board the aircraft.

The GCAA says investigations are underway to determine the cause of the incident.

On Saturday January 10, an Ethiopian Airline Boeing 737 cargo plane from Lome to Accra, skidded off the run way.

The Corporate Officer of the Ghana Airport Company, Newman Korley, has told news men that the accident scene has been secured and cordoned off. He said the crew members on board have been treated and discharged at the 37 Military hospital.

Emergency teams on the ground include the GCAA, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Armed Forces, NADMO, Ghana Police Service, National Security, National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Airport Company. Journalists were not allowed access to the accident scene.

Meanwhile, the Aviation Authority says flights schedules have not been disrupted by the incident.
