Gospel artiste, Bernard Amankwah, who for the past eight years has blessed lovers of Gospel music with his annual ‘Celebration of His Grace’ concert, is set to host the ninth edition of the gospel concert in Accra in September this year.
The ‘Celebration of His Grace’ concert, according to Bernard Amankwah who granted BEATWAVES an interview, will witness historic performances by some of the country’s biggest gospel music artistes.
The event, which is all about praises and worship, is designed to promote quality worship and praises to the Almighty God among different generations today.
The event, BEATWAVES gathered, will witness the gathering of believers of the Gospel from all walks of life who out of the fullness of their hearts, worship and praise the Almighty God in truth and in spirit.
Bernard Amankwah, the prolific singer, noted that “God has been faithful to us and I believe that the time has come for us to showcase the excellence that we are also made of when it comes to the arts.”
The Gospel artiste, who expressed the hope that the event would impart on the youth an upright way of life with God’s guidance and also the need to glorify God always, said that patrons of the event should expect nothing but great musical performances.
Bernard Amankwah would be backed by His Presence Ministry Band and claimed he was ready to feed patrons to some “soul inspiring” songs at the event.
The concert has in the past years drawn performances from some notable Gospel artistes and groups such as Cynthia of Daughters of Glorious Jesus fame and Alabaster Box.
Since 2007 when the first edition of ‘Celebration of His Grace’ concert was held, it has provided the means to bring Christians together to praise their Maker, and Bernard told BEATWAVES that the concert had been a “life changing” experience for many of its patrons.
He has several albums including, ‘Presence,’ ‘Presence II,’ ‘Almighty,’ ‘The Glory Has Come’ and ‘Holy and Mercy Rescue Me’ to his credit.
