Rescue workers have retrieved two more bodies from the wreckage of a Monday road crash near central Ghana’s town of Kintampo, which brings the death toll to 29, police have said.

The divisional crime officer for Kintampo Prosper Komla Gbagbo said two buses collided in a highway and caught fire immediately.

He confirmed that all passengers on one bus were burnt beyond recognition, while six out of the 11 passengers on another bus escaped.

“The six survivors are receiving treatment at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital,” Gbagbo added. Enditem
