UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned on Saturday the bombing attack in Central Istanbul, Turkey which left at least five people dead.
Earlier on Saturday, an explosion hit Istanbul’s bustling Istiklal Street, causing at least five deaths and wounded many others.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ban said “the perpetrators of this appalling violence must be brought to justice, consistent with human rights obligations.”
Turkey has experienced a string of deadly attacks over the past few months, with the latest one hitting the capital city of Ankara on March 13, killing 37 people.
