Minority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu retains his post

The National Executive Committee of the opposition New Patriotic Party has at a meeting at the Western View Hotel in Accra decided to retain Suame MP, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu as the party?s leader in the sixth Parliament of the fourth Republic.
Leading members of the party told Citi News that he will be supported by MP for Bimbilla, Dominic Nitiwul.
At today?s meeting, the party leadership decided not to retain Fred Opare Ansah as Minority Chief Whip, replacing him with former General Secretary and MP for Okere, Dan Botwe.
The position of Second Deputy Speaker will be filled by MP for Esikado Ketan MP, Joe Ghartey.
The next Parliament which will be the sixth under the fourth republic, will be sworn in on 7th January.
