The Chefs Association of Ghana has disclosed that Chef Smith is not a registered member, further complicating his recent controversies surrounding a claimed world title from a cook-a-thon challenge.
General Secretary Peter Agbovi confirmed the association’s stance: “You can call him a chef because he is a professional, but he is not a registered member of the Chefs Association of Ghana.”
Agbovi revealed they became aware of Chef Smith’s involvement in the cook-a-thon through social media and were alarmed to find their logo on his attire. Despite efforts to encourage registration, Chef Smith did not comply, prompting the association to refrain from endorsing or promoting him on their platform.
Expressing disappointment over the fake Guinness World Records certificate associated with Chef Smith, Agbovi emphasized the association’s commitment to upholding standards of authenticity and credibility in the culinary profession. He underscored the importance of registration and adherence to guidelines to safeguard the reputation of achievements within the industry.
The revelations add to Chef Smith’s challenges following public scrutiny over his claimed achievements, highlighting the importance of transparency and integrity in culinary accolades.
