Award-winning Nigerian Novelist Chimamanda has named rapper and songwriter, M.anifest, as music supervisor for ‘Of Monday of Last Week’ – a soon-to-be movie which adapted Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel.
The book narrates the story of Kamara (an immigrant babysitter in America).
The movie is set to be produced by Ghanaian-American avant-garde filmmaker and producer Akosua Adoma Owusu.
The internationally acclaimed award-winning rapper tweeted: Chimamanda’s “Of Monday of Last Week” is being turned into a film. Dir. by @akosuadoma. I’m the Music Supervisor.
M.anifest has worked with the likes of Damon Albarn, Flea, Tony Allen, Erykah Badu, and is featured on five songs on the Rocket Juice and The Moon album.
