Earlier, stakeholders at the forum had given opinions on how to foster a more fruitful and enduring cooperation between Nigeria and China.

The Nigerian Foreign Ministry described the forum as a “laudable one”, coming at the right time, and urged deeper cooperation in the areas of consular and security matters.

Stakeholders who delivered goodwill messages at the meeting included members of the Chinese communities in Nigeria, representatives of the China-Africa Business Council, president of the Nigerian Grassroots Entrepreneurs for Community Empowerment, the Nigeria Customs Service, the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Immigration Service, to mention a few.
