The 2016 Chinese Spring Festival Fair, to be held on January 24, will celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival of the Chinese Lunar New Year, which is the most important and popular traditional Chinese festival.
The event, being held for the fourth time since 2013, will feature performances by a famous children’s band from China Arts Troupe of Guxioang Primary School, Chinese traditional opera, folk songs and dance, martial arts, as well as lion and dragon dances.
The statement added that a number of Chinese restaurants operating in Lusaka, the country’s capital, have been invited to set up their food stands to offer large varieties of authentic Chinese food while Chines-made fireworks will brighten the sky.
The Chinese Spring Festival represents the beginning of the Chinese Lunar Year which falls on Feb. 8 this year. Year 2016 will be the Year of the Monkey. Enditem
