The highway connects the capital Freetown to the northern town of Masiaka, serving as a major link between Freetown and the country’s provinces.
The project will change the current two-lane road into a four-lane one.
Deputy Minister of Works, Babagaleh Barrie, said the expansion work would last four years with one year of extension in case of defects.
The project also involves three toll stations on the highway for three sections. Enditem
