Bishop Dr Israel Billy-James, Founder of the Jesus Universal Project, said the purpose of the project was to allow Christ completely take over the affairs of the nation in every sphere of life.

He said a team of pastors across the country would be coming together to preach the gospel to the public, including the various government institutions.

He said some of the activities lined up for the project include a National Christo-centric conference, National Priesthood and Christian Workers conference and Departmental, Institutional and public seminars.

In a speech read on his behalf, Dr Alfred Vandapuye, Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, said Ghana needs the Jesus Universal Project for rapid development.

He said, Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and urged Ghanaians to think, act and behave like Him, for a massive development.

Nii Okunko Palm, Executive Member of the Ga State, bemoaned the situation where the youth are misusing cultural practices in the society.

He said every tribe has its unique cultural attributes which are meant to be sustained and protected, as well as reflecting people?s behaviour.

?When in fact our ways of thinking and behaviour do not reflect that of a typical culture of a peculiar tribe, we only continue to practise something nuisance, or create public eyesore,? he said.

Nii Okunko Palm said, indecent dressing, issues of homo-sexual and lesbianism, are all alien to the Ghanaian culture, and must be stopped.

He also urged the clergy to speak to such issues of indecency in the Church, without fear of losing membership.
