Elder Stephen Tsorlevo of the Maranatha Assembly of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI) on Tuesday urged Christians to use Christmas to promote peaceful co-existence in society.
He said Christ is the Prince of Peace and, therefore, His followers must champion peaceful co-existence.
Elder Tsorlevo made the appeal at the Christmas Day Service of the GCCI Maranatha Assembly at Kanawu in the Tema West Municipality.
Speaking on the topic; “Christ our Saviour is Born,” Elder Tsorlevo noted that Christmas is a demonstration of God’s love to mankind.
He said Christ had given the Great Commission to all Christians to go and make disciples for Him.
He encouraged Christians to emulate Christ’s purity and humility and urged them to love their neighbours as themselves.
Quoting from the Bible, Elder Tsorlevo said: “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it”.
