The General Overseer of the True Faith Church, Ghana, Senior Apostle John Owusu-Achiaw, has called for the church to do more to support the poor and the vulnerable in society.
They should use part of offerings received from the members to take care of widows, orphans and the destitute.
He added that it should not be lost on them that love and charity “are at the heart of the Christian religion”.
He was delivering the sermon at the annual synod of the church at Nketia in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District.
The event saw the ordination of about 400 regional, district and circuit pastors alongside deacons and elders.
Senior Apostle Owusu-Achiaw reminded them to ensure true Bible teachings to help everybody “to do what is right and what is noble”.
They should inspire all to remain steadfast in their faith in God and to be confident about the future.
He told the pastors to mirror Christ-like qualities of integrity, humility, modesty and service, saying, they should become good example not only to their congregation but others in the community.
