Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah presented the assortment of items to the orphanage home on Saturday
Akwasi Appiah has donated an assortment of items to the Frankmey Bethesda Orphanage in appreciation to Ghana?s 6-1 demolishing of Egypt in the World Cup playoffs.
The ex Black Stars skipper led the Ghana national team as coach to secure the massive win over the record African Cup winners in the first leg of the tie last Tuesday.
Coach Appiah has been widely praised for masterminding the shocking win ? making Ghana?s qualification to next year?s World Cup in Brazil easier ahead of the return leg.
The soft-spoken coach in touring his home town to give thanks to the massive support given, made a surprise donation to the orphanage which was fast running short of supplies.
?Ghanaians gave me the support when I called on them in the match against Egypt and therefore this is my small way of saying thank you to you all,? Appiah said during the presentation of items to the home.
Items donated by the Black Stars coach include; bag of rice, packets of soap, sugar, cartons of milo, fruit drinks, biscuits, cartons of milk, bottles of water and gallons of cooking oil.
