Former Aduana Stars coach – J.E.A Sarpong has applauded the decision by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association [GFA] cancel the 2019/ 2020 league season.
“The decision to cancel the league was imminent considering the stringent measures put in place by the Government to help curb the spread of the virus,” the coach noted.
“All we need to do is to plan very well for the next football season and synchronize our calendar with that of the Europeans,” he added.
The 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League competition was suspended on March 16 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic after matchday 15.
The Executive Council, however, upon deliberations with various stakeholders decided to call off the season on Tuesday, June 30.
