Coalition of Trainee Nurses Call Allowance Restoration Bias

0

We, the members of the above named group wish to express our disappointment in the fact of our exclusion as beneficiaries of the trainee allowance as launched by President Akufo Addo in Sunyani on Tuesday.

As a group of 12,437 members, we till date cannot tell what our crime is, causing us to be denied our share of the allowance for which we have much earlier petitioned the Minister for Health.

Suffice to say we were promised and included in the 69,707 trainee nurses for which government made provisions for in the 2017 budget presented to Parliament for which approval was sought and granted.

Will therefore be unfair to be denied our legitimate share of the cake since as students we owe debts – in rents, utilities, food among others which the allowance will help repay.

The group have therefore lined up a series of actions/activities to inform the public, the media and others who matter and to seek their unflinching support for a just course.

God bless our homeland Ghana and make the nursing profession great and strong.
