The last may not have been heard of the outcome of the disciplinary committee set up the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State to investigate alleged anti-party activities during the just- concluded general election in the state.
The committee has summoned the seven key political associates of President Goodluck Jonathan in the state ? including the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Domestic Matters, Dr. Waripanmowei Dudafagh.
Others summoned by the body include the senator representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District, Mr. Emmanuel Paulker, the former senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Mr. Nimi Barigha-Amange, the suspended State Chairman of the PDP, Col. Sam Inokoba (rtd), the former Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Werinipre Seibarugu and former Speaker of the State Assembly, Mr. Nestor Binabo.
Barigha-Amange, Seibarugu and Binabo had, last week, shunned the sitting of the disciplinary committee, describing the summon as laughable and a deliberate act of witch-hunting.
The Chairman and Secretary of committee, Mr. Cleopas Moses and Mr. Dede Ofulu John, respectively, said the panel was not out to witch-hunt anybody, but was intended to sanitise the party, as well as ensure discipline and loyalty on the part of its members.
