Ghanaian Light heavyweight boxer at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Shakul Samed has been eliminated.

This follows the lad’s inability to show up at the weigh in scheduled before the bout.

An official statement by the technical delegate released at 16:58 GMT opined this and awarded opponent Jean Luc Rosalba as the winner via walkover.
The Ghana Boxing Federation Secretariat is yet to issue a clarification on the mishap.

Shakul who is the younger brother of Bastie Samir, conqueror of charismatic boxer Brimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko, also competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, crashing out in the preliminary stage.
