Enugu Youth Coalition has accused some contractors in the state of conspiring with some high-profile politicians to sabotage and discredit the government of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in their clandestine plot to wipe-up unfavorable opinion against the government.

In a statement released to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday in reaction to some unsatisfactory works done in the state by some local contractors, the group said these contractors are working hand-in-glove with some political desperadoes to thwart the efforts of Gov. Ugwuanyi to change the destiny of Enugu in the nearest future.

National Coordinator of the group, Dr. Edwin Obune said, it is morally unjustifiable and politically incorrect for some people to be part of a system and still be conspiring with some enemies in ploting the downfall of the same system over an ambition whose future is in the Hands of God.

We have said it severally and we will continue to say it, that power belongs to God.

We have seen instances where people who plotted and perfected plans to grab power at all cost fell by the way side even before the time. This is because, it is only God that determines destiny in the affairs of men.

Therefore, we are warning these contractors to either remain loyal and faithful to the government by executing projects according to government standards and specifications or be shown the way out.

Enough is enough!

We also call on Ndi-Enugu not to allow the action and activities of the fift-columnists within the system to dampen their supports and prayers for the state government because the victory of evil over good is only temporal.

In the same vein, we advise our people to continue to stay safe until we have collectively flatten the curve on Covid-19.Together, we shall overcome because Enugu State is in the Hands of God!
