Obuasi Mp Donates Ppe

Mr. Kwaku Kwarteng, Member of Parliament for Obuasi West has donated quantities of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to help fight the spread of the coronavirus in the area.

The items included; hand gloves, Veronica buckets, goggles, hand sanitizers, face masks, and others.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Kwarteng who is also a Deputy Minister of Finance said the government was determined to fight against the coronavirus pandemic that affected many people worldwide, including; Ghana.

“What I have brought today confirms how the President and his government are pursuing the fight against the coronavirus”, he stated.

He announced that the government would make the personal protective equipment (PPEs) abundant in the country from next week for people to protect themselves against the pandemic.

Mr Kwarteng said the prevention protocols and restrictive directions outlined by the government, were designed to protect the people against the virus and urged them to adhere strictly to the directives to stay safe.

Mr. Osei Mintah, Administrator at the Obuasi Government Hospital, who received the items on behalf of the Municipal Health Directorate, thanked the MP for the gesture.

He said the items had come at an opportune time since health workers at the forefront in the fight required them to protect themselves.
