Reverend Samuel Amegboe, Awudome Tsito Area Head of Assemblies of God Church, has asked Christians not to panic but be steadfast and faithful to their calling in the wake COVID 19.

“Let the outbreak of this pandemic rather strengthen our resolve to commit ourselves totally to God,” he admonished.

Rev. Amegboe who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Tsito, said: “though the disease is frightening, our God is in control”.

He said though the pandemic could be attributed to humans, it could also be a sign of the end times spoken of in the book of Revelations in the Bible, thus it must be a wake-up call to Christians to reconcile with God.

The man of God said washing of hands with soap under running water and social distance could be effective ways of controlling the disease but Christians should not relent in praying for divine intervention.

He lamented the temporary closure of chapels but said the directive was for the good of the country.

He appealed to Christians to adhere strictly to directives of the President for the quick eradication of the pandemic.

He also appealed to them, especially the rich to lend a helping hand to the needy in society during the hard times.
